The Golf Club

The first written record states:

“A Public Meeting was held in the Public Assembly Rooms, Helston on Thursday, June 26th 1895 for the purpose of forming a golf club”.

Initially a 9-hole course on borrowed land with the first pavilion, first tee, and last green in Mullion Parish, hence the Club's name. Mullion Golf Club is a members' club with a challenging 18 hole course on land now owned by the National Trust. It has a rich and colourful history, the high points of which have seen Mullion host the first ever County Championship meeting in 1901 and the centenary Championships in 2001. We already knew Mullion Golf Course was a little gem but now word has got out and we have been ranked in National Club Golfers Top 100 ‘Hidden Gems’.

A great strength of the Club is a membership drawn from a broad cross section of local society. We also have a number of enthusiastic country members.

The fine food, superb local real ales and warm atmosphere, immediately welcome the visitor to the clubhouse.

Where else can you play golf with such a backdrop of ever changing scenery as this?
